Ticks On A Nursing Jill??

Recommended Posts

Went out this morning to feed the ferts and noticed 5 ticks on the jill with 8 three week old kits :censored: cage is spotless and has shavings/shredded paper in it.Usually it would be a quick spray with Effipro and job done, but with the kits on her I don't think its feasible, any ideas??thinking of dabbing the stuff directly on the ticks and stripping the hutch...any better ideas appreciated....

My Jill last year had got a tick and spotted a couple fleas on her when she had kits mine were cleaned out regualary I moved my hole lot out efiprode them tiny little squirt on the kits a smear of the Jill then Johnsons cage and hutch spray the old run left to air then moved back into original hutch no problems in them at all if in doubt though ask ya vet.

My hand just to cover her coat with it but if in doubt ask vets to become safe side. But also get cage n hutch spray insectiside kills all bugs that get in crevasises to

No probs can get them come in on the bedding or if they have had rabbit put in the hutch at any time. I feed dry with chicken breast a couple of times a week and the odd egg yolk to boot aswell if it's only the one tic. Get the little tick crowbar that lift them out cheapish from vets or pet store
