But it looks like any BH I have used for sticks to me, heat treated, pressed then cut out and shaped. One thing is for sure it will last a long time. Bit of T-cut and it will shine like a new shilling. Tyla 3,179 Posted May 26, 2014 Report Share Posted May 26, 2014 I did the same with an identical horn thumb stick, pretty sure it is horn it looks identical to mine and mine was, but couldn't get on with it for some reason. carl addy 22 Posted June 2, 2014 Report Share Posted June 2, 2014 they are buffalo horn mate ave made loads of slings with them ya need to polish it up with brasso then the grain in the horne will cum out and it shines like glass ... for bands i use single black 1745 .9.5 steel kills game easy and also gose through cans at 25 yards no problem and lasts longer than thera band 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
