Looking For An Air Rifle Service In Kent

Recommended Posts

When shooting my HW80 over 40ft I'd say 1 in 4 pellets goes wayward of an inch square target by about 3-4 inches. The gun has never been oiled/serviced in the time I've had it, so could this be the problem? If so, should I go about it myself with no knowledge of how, or does anyone know a decent shop in Kent/close by that can overhaul her back to how she should be.

Or, is it just the gun and I'll always have this problem.

Thanks, Alan.

Think you need to look at the pellets mate in fac the pellets can start to break up as there designed for sub 12ftb so try a thicker walled and thicker skirts or try and look for a pellet suitable for an fac gun

Your not wrong about trying a different pellet.

Although Most pellets will be suitable for an FAC rated air rifle. None will break up. Even upon impact it's rare that they fragment.

If a pellet is too light or doesn't suit the barrel it will spiral or tumble. Albeit some can remain accurate up to a certain distance.

Just wanted to say thanks for the replies, cleaned my barrel and bought a pack of 50 rws superdome and 50 jsb exacts to compare to my accupells, the exacts hitting the inch square target every time. Didn't realise how much difference there would be between pellets.
