If You Use Plastic Tent Pegs On Your Purse Nets...

Recommended Posts

I was idly browsing past topics and read a thread about purse net pegs in which quite a few people extolled the virtues of plastic tent pegs. If you use them can you tell me - are they strong enough to push into hard ground?

We use the same ones and never had any problems, and they are a lot lighter than the metal ones we used to use. We also use rubber bands made from an old bike inner tube to pack them away, much stronger than laggy bands that dont last two seconds.

I cut some hazel sticks over the winter to make in to pegs this summer, but I don't think I'll bother now. Thanks guys.

you can cut hazel sticks any time the year mate just pop them into a microwave and it dries them out tidy. i use to make them into pegs first then dry them out.
