Dumped Pups...

Recommended Posts

ive had parvo at my old house... lost pups... spent money i didnt have and believe me i was beyond broke...

dumping them on someone else didnt even cross my mind.

parvo is a b*****d once it becomes active, will kill nearly 100% of pups and 50% of adult dogs even if there jabbed, it can remain dormant in the soil for up to two years, i would be more worried about my own dogs if i lived in the area of the outbreak and restricting visitors and very careful where i exercised the dogs

How many of you have all said...if you can't afford to see dogs then dont have em....I'm fcukin disgusted that any of you are defending those actions.

The pups weren't dumped , the wife took them to a vet and stupidly said shed found them dumped , she later owned up to the vet that they were her pups , she was daft , she panicked , she told a lie ,

When he actually lies to you to cover up his actions then i think that's taking the piss. I've never bought or sold a dog to mel. I also don't brag about 2grand holidays when i've got a litter of poor

it made my adults sick but i lost both lurcher pups id brought at a show the week before and half my terrier pups that were a bit older... it was hell... took me months to pay my vet for everything id got off him on tab and i nursed all of them in my own kitchen

If the wife took them to the vet then its not really neglect . If they were dumped then that's shameful .it does shown that all this person cares about is getting ££££££

they were never dumped

I,m sure if he feels the need to explain himself to the self righteous , judgmental , baying mob that makes up a large part of thl then Mel will be on here soon , either way that's me out .

To me my friend it dont matter if they left them in the woods or handed them in themselves and pretended they found them that to me is still dumping the problem on somebody else people that are supposed to be older and wiser in the game he has or they have sold enough dogs on here and bought if they didnt have the cash why breed a litter and there is the answer in itself they were bred to make money and the circles keeps turning

I have nothing to say on the story at hand, it's not for me to say on what other people do/have done.

I've read that parvo is nasty and "kills nearly 100% of pups and 50% of adults" surely at those rates you can relate to why someone 'may' dump them, after all "what's out of sight is out of mind" and were only human.... But what would be the best and humane way to deal with this is death is on the cards already, let alone the sickness?

I personally would be like Carraghs Gem, I'd treat them all and break my back with vet bills for the little buggers. Just in hope that there may be a chance they could pull through.

At the end of the day, some of these are family members as much as pets or tools for hunting.

Totally, it must be a hard situation to be in. Not for the sake of the value of the pups but the fact there 7 little bundles of life to take care of.

I can't bare to think what went through her mind but I guess anything was worth a stab in the dark at getting them better or treatment to help them through their last days :(

To be fair if parvo turned up in my kennels within a litter of pups i would not go the vets i would cull them and burn the instantly and do what i could in my kennels and pray my older dogs didnt contract it if they did then i would pay sill money at the vets my first concern would not be the pups it would be my older dogs and getting rid of the threat straight away thats just my opinion
