Cedric 132
I've just got a pcp as well, do they seem to prefer heavier pellets than springers ? Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
light pellet in a spring gun will give the most power usually and a heavy pellet can have a lot of power loss .A pcp will get the most power from a heavy pellet usually with a little power loss from a light pellet in my experience .I like a light pellet even in a pcp the tiny power loss I dont care about about ,a light 177 will take a rabbit out at 60 yards with ease if you hit it right .So with the fast pellet it is easy to hit the target when estimating range with a slow heavy 22 your range estimation has to be bang on ,so even if the heavy 22 hits with an extra 1/2 ft lbs or so it is pointless if you miss when a light 177 has still got enough power to do the job . paulk73 151
h and n baracuda match and try the air arms too pal. Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,550
I use Air Arms Fields in both calibres of .177 and .22 and find them extremely accurate and hard hitting. On the Vermin Hunters tv (you tube) Si Pitterway found that RWS fields (if i remember rightly) were in his opinion the best (just) over AA Fields. I`d go AA Fields Si, as they are readily available. atb Quote Link to post
Mr Mcgoo 18
I used the air arms fields when I had mine, to be fair I've not found a rifle that don't like them. Quote Link to post
