socks 32,253
Decided that I needed to build a new ferret court as work is getting busier and busier I needed more ferrets to cope with the workload ... I bred a nice litter to take up some of the workload but sooner or later they need more room than a three tier hutch can give them so I knocked this up .... I just need to get some piping in there now to keep them busy and entertained and bobs your uncle ......... PLENTY BIG ENOUGH TO HOLD 8 FERRETS ......... TILLY LIKES IT ........ 11 Quote Link to post

You might think it would be a real mess, but they have two toilet corners and only use them, and the rest of the straw stays clean. We lost an almost full grown kit many years ago when he fell from the roof of the hutch inside the court and he broke his back> lesson learned. 1 Quote Link to post

Over the next few days I will be putting tubes all around the side for them to play inside ... So if they climb and do fall they will land on the pipes on the way down and not straight onto the floor ........ Quote Link to post

Bit of gear in there to keep them occupied and they`ll be away! I mentioned this a month or so back when I made my court. It happened to me. My old ferrets can abseil quite well, but the newer stuff just fell off when trying to come down. I first tried a shelf halfway, to stop them getting to the top, but they bypassed that overnight. So I got round it by putting plastic up most of the window. Problem solved. Helps keep the worst of the rain out too 5 Quote Link to post
