I Hope They Like It ............

Recommended Posts

Decided that I needed to build a new ferret court as work is getting busier and busier I needed more ferrets to cope with the workload ... I bred a nice litter to take up some of the workload but sooner or later they need more room than a three tier hutch can give them so I knocked this up .... I just need to get some piping in there now to keep them busy and entertained and bobs your uncle .........

PLENTY BIG ENOUGH TO HOLD 8 FERRETS .........

Nice that Ken. Bit of gear in there to keep them occupied and they`ll be away!   I mentioned this a month or so back when I made my court. It happened to me. My old ferrets can abseil quite well,

Looks spot on that. Loads of room.

Do you keep Hobs together year round or just keep Jill's?

I have two snipped hobs one is in one court with his ladies and one is in the new court with his ladies .......

That's why ours has a thick layer of straw all over the floor: and they love burrowing under it too. You might think it would be a real mess, but they have two toilet corners and only use them, and the rest of the straw stays clean. We lost an almost full grown kit many years ago when he fell from the roof of the hutch inside the court and he broke his back> lesson learned.

I have been keeping ferrets in courts for about 15 years and never had a problem ... Over the next few days I will be putting tubes all around the side for them to play inside ... So if they climb and do fall they will land on the pipes on the way down and not straight onto the floor ........

I mentioned this a month or so back when I made my court. It happened to me. My old ferrets can abseil quite well, but the newer stuff just fell off when trying to come down. I first tried a shelf halfway, to stop them getting to the top, but they bypassed that overnight. So I got round it by putting plastic up most of the window. Problem solved. Helps keep the worst of the rain out too post-45598-0-01801200-1400485506_thumb.jpg
