MickC 1,825
Without reading all the links and copied and pasted stuff isn't it all relating to humans ... A dogs digestive system is different from a humans so I would like to see some conclusive post from a respected vet stating that red meat gives dogs cancer ........ Of course a dogs digestive system is different to a Humans, for a start only a human can store carbohydrates to be used later as energy whereas a dog turns all carbohydrates into instant energy and stores nothing for later. I've had dogs over 35 year and never had trouble feeding meat,I've had and seen problems from them being fed cereal based foods. Like I said in an earlier post nowhere in nature is a dog fed cereal based feed. A dog will eat whatever it's owner puts in front of it though.Cereal based feeds such as bread, pasta ,Weetabix all cause problems for dogs even if they don't show the symptoms. 2 Link to post

roybo 2,873
is it not light hearted banter ?It is for me mate but gaz likes to elevate it to something else ... But he is young he will learn ......I am a quick learner socks. Only been in the game 5 minutes and I already know the difference between a ginger rabbit and a fox.Mik from Scotland taught me that in my first season Ginger rabbit and a fox ??? You have lost me there .... That's right you have only been in the game 5 minuets but you think you know all gaz ... Strange you needed to pm me with regards to wounds and stitching your dogs then seeing as you learn so quickly .......... Lol. You know exactly what I'm talking about. I have never claimed to be a know it all. I'm a young keen sponge, soaking up knowledge off good blokes who know the game inside out. That's why I PM'd you. A good while ago that was. I thought you were one of the good ones. But I've since learnt otherwise. Not to worry though. Like I say, I'm a quick learner. You keep harping on about my 5 minutes in the game like it's a negative on my part? I spend every day out learning. Regularly on the phone and email to lads who've been in the game twice as long as I've been alive. But I'm looked down on by old fools who stopped learning long ago because they think they know it all. It's a funny old world. Gaz I don't think anyone looks down on anyone just because they are new to the sport, but if you are keen ,and welcome advice, why do you shout down folk who are more experienced than your self when they offer advice to others? Like they say everyday is a school day,but if you shout out in class, you disrupt the other pupils ,listen mate ,easiest way to learn, don't mean to sound a knob, but rubbing folk up the wrong way for pointing out you have not the experience, isn't the way to pick up experience ATB Roy Link to post
