If you can find a bit of elder covered in blackfly they will love that more :thumbs: ,but Hawthorn is fine for them Dave,A bit of conifer will give a bit of green colour to the flight and it don't die to quickly,also don't be worried if they start to chew on it as your'll find they will do that with all branches you put in there.

never tried hawthorn will give it a go ,never to to old to learn something new :thumbs:

Nothing like them when there budding for getting bullies into condition mate :thumbs: ,mine had as many as i could stand getting my hands ripped to bits for :laugh: and once the berries are on them the Bullies will wolf them down as well,not tried freezing Hawthorn berries(have frozen rowan without problem) myself but can't see why not :hmm:
