Guest Rabbiteer
So thats why you told me to take all of my nets into the middle of the field and set fire to them, then go and buy some thicker ones.............................. Quote Link to post
Guest Bigbob
Hemp is just shite Soon as its wet and dried out it snags, snaps and really WONT hold a bolting rabbit!!! Alough i prefer the more thicker material to the normall nylon as it does not tangle as easy. But the best thing for used hemp is the bin Before i bow to your superier wisdom can you tell me how much ferreting you do in a week ? a month ? and how many rabbits you kill in a season with nets to come out with a coment like that ??? COMPO 54
Hemp works well......but....requires care and attention Thats why i use heavy duty nylon i have had the pegs go mouldy and break due to damp but the nets are still in good nick, that wouldn't happen with hemp the nets would go before the pegs, i do need to empty my net bags and let the nets hang out next close season However if you take care of them i have heard of people having years of use out of them, personally though 10z nylon Quote Link to post
