The other weekend I bought a book about old Liverpool, the book is called Greetings From Olde Liverpool, published in 1992 and contains old postcard images of the city, as I'm fascinated by all things old Liverpool and districts.

There is one postcard looking up Bold St in 1895 showing the Lyceum.

I quote,

'The spot the picture was taken from was/is Waterloo Square, which was named after the Waterloo Hotel which once stood where Central Station once was. The Waterloo Cup got it's name from this Hotel.'

I have no idea if this is true or not but did find it interesting that the Cup was mentioned. The books an interesting read too.

If you know it to be true GTE and if the book is of any interest to you, as a collector, your more than welcome to it.

correct clipo mouseman is dead know but he has a factory that's still going under his name the old original stuff is very good money.i haven't had the lead valued

I swapped it on a whim you might say.the couplings on the lead are old handed crafted solid silver ..real good detail.the leather work is very top quality too.

is it worth a £10000. mmmm not sure but I don't think I would take any less.unless somebody has got something im interested in for a swop.
