pie-eater 377
Thanks pianoman a tin might be the way to go. Ill try to find something small because I only ever take 35 pellets out with me. As for the fast second shot I think the pipe insulation around the scope sounds a good idea. I was out Wednesday evening crawling towards a few rabbits. I had a pellet in the rifle 2 between my lips and the rest in a sandwhich bag in my pocket. Some good ideas on this thread. silentshot1 206
Similar to Pianoman, I have 4 old 177 tins with tight fitting lids, lined with the foam from old .22 AA field tins, with the corresponding gun written on the lid. I found an old pair of wellies yesterday, so may try the welly holder as an experiment this weekend. 1 Quote Link to post

barrywhite 282
I just use my pocket ' not one for fussing about with things like this but every one to ther own I think we all started out with the pocket full pellets and the 400 + marksman pellets rattling around in the tin in another pocket ,but we have moved on since then .We want accuracy and to help we feel if the pellets are in perfect condition when entering our guns we may have a better chance of hitting something .Dont knock it till you tried it 2 Quote Link to post
eggs 4
I will try and get hold of a small square of leather from a tannery near me. Think the father in law has a leather punch etc as he used to be a sample cutter. Its a long weekend so might actually get it done Cheers Quote Link to post

RemyBolt 420
If you have gloves, you can slide a few down the glove, and just take your glove off and reload from there. Quote Link to post

Really easy to use. It's a stock cover with a pouch! What's not to like? Edited May 23, 2014 by RemyBolt Quote Link to post
eggs 4
Ok knocked a few quick pellet holders up. The grey leather would probably be better for .22 as its slightly thicker but i have no .22 pellets in the house at mo. The sand leather is ok for .177 but could maybe do with being just a bit thicker as after my in house quality control ...... which i call the waggle test * i lost a pellet on the worktop ! Time will tell on the hole punch sizes due to use / wear but i will try them over the weekend and see how i get on....... from this to this and then i will get the missus to see if they can do a camo leather style .... would be nice and i will work on my cutting too !!!
