Jim Grant 4
PS To all you Beaver lovers. They arrempting to release them into the wild in GB, all you have to do is get out there and get them. However you have to watch out for sores around your mouth if you try to eat one.
mackem 26,146
The trick to avoiding sores is to always eat them while they are fresh and never get your beaver from a dubious source http://www.cajuncookingrecipes.com/wildgam...aver_recipe.htm
Jim Grant 4
As you say source is everthing. Having bucket fed the horses, thrown something down for the garden cats (not something they had killed and left for me this morning on the hearth). I took the canines for a "walk" round the policies. Lots or crashing about in the undergrowth. Anyway the upshot was that wa ended up with two lovely young rabbits, et all. On returning to the Bothy I ventured round to the cuntivated patch of countryside and ingathered some potatoes, carrots & mangetout peas. Breadcrumb the rabbit, pan fry it in a bit of butter from the evry obliging Jersey cow, and the job a good un, having boilrd the taties and steamed the others. A glass of wine and I will sleep through all the rubbish my TV licence is making available.
