Out this morning the river is bang on ...clearing and dropping.......throw a wee 12 black francis on a full floater across a pool and got into a crackin 12 pounder covered in sea lice .

headed up to the top pool at the head of the beat and changed to a fast intermediate with the same fly and got a crakin take that I thought was a sea troot the way it was running ....a wee grilse straight out the sea

 

heading away back out for another craic

This will make you green with envy HM ...Headed back out and saw a decent sea trout at the tail of a pool cast a muddler over it and it had a go at it twice ...then headed up to our top pool called Allans where I had my grilse earlier .....same again fast intermediate and a wee black francis ....had a crakin take after a few casts and new I was into something decent ...what a fight on the single hander down to the backing 4 times ....couldn't give it too much as I only had 10lb line on ....after a 20 minute fight my personal ghillie had it in the net ....18lb bar of silver ..3 fish for the day ..back out tomoro hopefully get into a few more
