You don't need to fight in a war or pull someone from a burning building to be a hero ... That lad who was only a teenager put all his self pity aside and through his sickness pain and countless bouts

Academically brilliant, he wanted to go on to be a Doctor ... he fought the disease like a tiger , one of his bucket list was to inspire someone to want to be a doctor... he managed that ... he did mo

Academically brilliant, he wanted to go on to be a Doctor ... he fought the disease like a tiger , one of his bucket list was to inspire someone to want to be a doctor... he managed that ... he did more in his short 19 years than most do in a lifetime ... a brave courageous selfless young man... may he rest in peace

Sorry but i don't think he's such a hero,ok he raised a few quid while he was dieing but he didn't do much for others before that and that don't make him the saint others see hm as,there's plenty of folk who raise more and because they ain't dieing there not really recognized and just because this fella was dieing some think him god like, every day firemen, soldiers, nurses all do more for folk and they don't get praised.Sorry but to many false hero's in this world for me and im sorry a young man at the start of his life has died and i don't mean to disrespect him or what he done but come on..

Well Fireman, maybe hero isn't the right word but why bother to post negatively?.

The lad did more good than the majority of us on here will do combined.

He also died with dignity and courage with no self pity and cries of why me.

I wonder how many can honestly say they would conduct themselves the same in the same situation.

RIP Stephen.

Well he raised the biggest single donation.

Maybe us calling him a hero is a tad ott.

But fir the future kids and parents for which that amount of money will certainly make a difference. I'm sure to them he will be a hero.

shame when any young person dies I think, they had years took of them before there time. With him raising money to fight againt cancer is a great thing, anything to try combat this rotten killer . And to be brave to the end of his short life was something to be proud of for a person to do , let alone a young man who must have been in fookin pain just before he died .Yep I shed a tear for a brave young man, hope when I go that I got his bottle , to handle my death like he did .:yes:
