I am looking to buy a cz rifle I have seen the cz 452 16" barrel silhouette model with sac sound moderater with a hawk scope on it in work and fancy a go at one of them. Anyone advise me on a good .22 for rabbit control please

Youw won't go far wrong with a CZ. The 452 is a good gun.

you basically described exactly what you need, cz 452, 16" barrel, sak mod and hawke scope, that will get you started and if you look after it, it will last you years.

I bought a 452 last year, a 16 inch silhouette. put a trigger kit in and its very good.

Likewise but am now using a browning which is just as good, has a better magazine and easier bolt action

Let me set the scene, my lad is a very good shot, had his own air rifle for years, a member of my Rifle club and excellent with a shotgun as well .............

Years back when he first used my .22 Silhouette and dropped a rabbit around yards with his first shot ever with it, he fell in love, a year or two later when he got his own FAC he went for a Style, I was confused as he so loved my Silhouette.

 

His response, "well, I couldn't get one identical to you" ...and that just about sums up the difference..... :yes:

ive worked away with a mates cz for years theres not much between them quality wise but prefer the accutrigger in the savage

they certainly are very nice, but the non accutriggers are not even poor, they are absolutely terrible. and not easily adjusted
