pegstaff 9
Thinking about getting a terrier to take out with my lurchers and go ratting with. I currently have two beddy lurchers however they can be on the big side when mooching and often struggle getting into the thick, therefore I think having a terrier in the pack would help. I also have always fancied ratting and I have plenty of rats on my permission. For this type of work what would you lads recommend as I don't want a terrier that will go to ground. I like the look of the Lakeland, however I was thinking a Bedlington terrier or a plummer may be better, as I know lakelands like to work under ground as well. Quote Link to post
Moorside 642
Have a look on the bushing dogs section someone will help you out. Asking about terriers that wont go to ground is a red rag to a bull on here. 1 Quote Link to post

fireman 10,869
A plummer will do just what you want and maybe a bit more but if it goes to ground put it on a lead as you walk past the earths Quote Link to post
Bazil brush 474
I didn't read it all, if you don't want it to go to ground dont get a terrier simple. Get yourself a beagle x or something along them lines. 2 Quote Link to post

bryanm45 787
I have a terrier that's not gone to ground, it would need to be a pretty large hole to get him in, he bushes, rats and ferrets. Great with other dogs aswell. Quote Link to post
