I think between a close circle of friends who appreciate the same kind of terriers and like minded then it can be a good thing...but my fear would b to have something happen to their dog...but if that said friend was trusted, then accidents do happen. Finding trusted friends is the hard part

Season before last we were short on dogs and had plenty of diging so i just mentioned it on another forum and a chap who is a member of thl gave us the use of 1 of his dogs for the remainder of the season.We had around 12-15 digs with this dog and he really took us out of a spot as we only had 4 workers and 3 were of the hard type so were laid up on occasion and only youngsters that were too young to start so it got us out of a fix.Same chap gave my mate up 2 workers last season and the young stuff we have all made the grade so plenty of diging was had.He nderstood the type of diging we done and that accidents could happen but was happy to help us out.

I take it depends who ya deal I'd always spread out what ever pups I breed to mates only condition it's to be returned if they don't workout and I pts myself. I used ta mind dogs for a lad sometimes his main producers and was always allowed to dig them which often did and would often take down young dogs just started and get them a few digs it was handy in away cause there always a diging dog in the kennels then lol. Always respected the dog never put them in dungeons unless the owner was there but always had the go ahead ta use them.
