Cammo Tape And Shrink Wrap

Recommended Posts

Just picked up a rather tatty BSA Ultra single shot the blue on the barrel and air cylinder is quite worn so I plan to cammo tape it and spray the stock black (sort of mock tactical) anyway my question is can anyone recommend a brand of tape that will leave me with a good effect or has anyone used that cammo shrink wrap??

Cheers Sam

I camo,d my raider with the tape but after a while it started to go black where it was rubbing off my jacket so i stripped it off rubbed her down and painted her black now when i go hide shooting i use the tape that sticks to its self as there is no residue left on the rifle and can be removed and stored for the next time im out the tape is called tarnband self adhesive camo tape woodland here are some photos as to what she has looked atvbmac

Cheers Mac like the raider done all black, I'm only planning to do the barrel and air reservoir in tape then the stock black like yours, what was the name of the tape you used first mate??

Cant remember what it was called but i can find out for you in the next day or so but if your only going to do the barrel and the air reservoir then the best one will be the self adhesive one but i would paint them first along with the stock if you have no wet and dry use tin foil this will remove all most all the bluing and take it back down to the metal then prime and paint make sure you get the same primer as the paint or it may react and you will have to start again hope this helps if you were closer i would of dun it for you atvbmac :thumbs::thumbs:

Make sure you rub the stock down to and prime it also take every thing off that you don't want painted just take your time and it will turn out ok sorry i have no photos of the barrel or chamber but here are some of the stock when it comes to painting it find some where that you can hang it from and then start painting a little at a time once every thing has dry,d reassemble and it will look like new don't be tempted to hurry as it will be a disaster atvbmac :thumbs::thumbs:
