TonyT They have been purpose bred for bushing on top mate, and discouraged from going to ground. However, the line started with two black fell type earth dogs, and if they run a fox in or find one in, the blood remembers the old tan bitch is prone to vanishing but we try not to dig them, they usually either bolt them or you walk away and eventually she comes out. I have a feeling the pup will take after the old dog, she’s a little terror already. She’s five months, been out last two days for about four hours a time, in and out of cover etc. At the end of today she vanished, major panic, we split up and looked for an hour, the Mrs came out etc etc. The little bugger had got lost and thought feck this it’s raining, sought out the nearest house, let herself in the kitchen and ate their bacon sandwiches luckily they were nice folk and came and found us, gave the pup back and wished us happy hunting. 3 1 Quote Link to post
