Been a while since I put any pics of my busher up. Not the best of shots, but here a couple from today. She's just turned 18 months. Still turns a deaf ear when she she's really fired up, but for the most part I can't complain. Certainly far more game in the bag these days because of her - she flushes for the runner but also catches on her own account. Not been keeping a tally, but I reckon she's probably caught around 100 rabbits now, most recent being one she nailed in cover yesterday. To be fair, probably half of those were myxied ones when she was a pup, but they did wonders for her confidence. Now she knows they're catchable she gives it 100% effort, and is fairly regularly rewarded by connecting. Occasionally she loses one - I can only assume she had a real tenuous hold by the foot or somesuch. Happened last weekend whilst ferreting - she piled into cover and I heard squealing, but 5 seconds later all went quiet then I saw the rabbit deep in cover. 2 seconds later she almost nailed it again but pushed it out for the lurcher instead.

You have a good one there fella, i imagine that bit of whippet gives her a fair bit of speed in cover and also gets her lifting her head as well. My one will catch now and again but only when they sit tight. atb fella.

Only joking in my post mate, seen a few that could be called out, and very handy dogs in bad place's, never owned one really, a half hearted rabbiting bitch that i called out a few times was the closest i came. A pup out of her, and a full on never quite sire produced my most sensible dog ever, not lacking in gameness, he killed a lot of un-run foxes when he was young, and without loads of damage, but you could put him in anything, and he was sensible, we used him on rescues a few times, a few dogs owed him their lives
