krawnden 1,036
The one thing I'd change on my busher if I could is her coat. It's quite thin; she hates cold rain and nettles. And now the weather's fast warming up I think I'm going to be seeing a lot more of this ... I'm pretty certain there was something in there - her tail only feathers like that when there's strong scent - but she wouldn't push right in because of all the nettles. This is where you boys with spaniel crosses would leave me looking stupid. Those of you with thin coated terriers - are yours the same when it comes to nettles? 1 Quote Link to post

Those of you with thin coated terriers - are yours the same when it comes to nettles I wouldn't worry about it, its obvious she is gonna be a cracking busher/mooching dog, a lot of bushing dogs don't like nettles esp young nettles and you can't really blame them can you. My used too when i first had her but thats because she didn't know any better, she used to look like mr magoo when i got her home. atb fella. krawnden 1,036
No, I can't blame her - I was in shorts this afternoon and I certainly wasn't about to get in there and try and push out whatever was in there! I'm not unduly worried as she's more than satisfied my expectations already and she's still not even a year old. But as she's my first busher I'm just curious to know if she's typical... But if I ever decide to breed from her, coat is definitely something I'll pay a lot of attention to in the choice of stud. Quote Link to post
Tozer 385
I've got the same problem with mine, I didn't think about it when I bought the pup, she is reluctant to go in now. That pup is coming on well Quote Link to post
