Just shows how messed up modern society is, an act of kindness could get you branded a pedo, where an act of a pedophilia can get you a new identity and a payout from the government and you have the

We shouldn't just immediately jump to the assumption it's anything other than a caring old man. Our society is in a shit state where vulnerable kids just get left because adult males are too afraid to intervene and help for fear of being labelled a nonce. Let the police make their judgements, public judgements just add to that stigma.

He seemed very quick to grab that child's hand and lead it away ... If he had been walking behind the woman and child he would have seen the kid was hers ... If he had only just turned a corner and seen the child as I said he was very quick to grab the kid and go back in the same direction he came from ... If that was me I would have stood for a few seconds and watched to see if the child was distressed and was anybody with it before taking any kind of action ...........

While I agree with not jumping to conclusions I agree with Bird, it doesn't look too good. In this day and age its sad, as BH says, people are quick to call folk a nonce.

Ye can't know for sure but I'd say he was trying to take the kid. Surly you would at least ask the woman with the buggy 3ft in front is this your kid??? He was turning away even before he took the kids hand!

Either a very senile old man or an abductor imo

he shot round he corner too fast,he'd been watching the lad for a bit longer than we can see imo and if he didn't notice the child was with his mother he can't be all there.

the centre will have cameras too,so my guess is the police have seen this before deciding to release the footage.

The problem is if someones suffering from dementia or something like that they act very strange, wandering around aimlessly etc so it looks a bit strange anyway.

I don't think he had good intentions,,,,that child is clearly following that woman with an empty push chair ,,,,I think he's lucky the father wasn't there....

just shows how easy it could be done. if that women had left it another couple of seconds before she looked round to see where her child was it may well have been a different story.

just showed it the wife, she looked 2 times at it, and thinks the bloke was deff trying to take the lad away , you right another few secs could have ended up bad . as said he was lucky the father didn't see him do it, or the bloke could have spent the night in the A.E
