Good Intentions Or Not??

It's been on our local news,,,, the police have released the 80 year old man,,,, he said he was taking the child to the mother,,,but got the wrong the mother,,,he thought it was a different woman,,,,who is proberbly out of shot .....

 

Just shows we can all jump to the wrong conclusions,,,myself included

Police must have been satisfied ray,,,I'm sure they would have looked at other CCTV ect,,, and perhaps with him being 80 ect,,,,might have been harder if he was 30-40,,,, ect

I'm sure there would have been more angles on other CCTV to prove is innocence it dies look scary though but he could be a good liar as well should have went to his house to check it over computers ect ?

80 years old....probably a completely clean background...........for all we know he looked up and saw a kid alone and reacted................bit harsh to jump to a grissly conclusion if you ask me.

Socks is bang on, if you seriously thought a kid was lost the first thing you would do is ask the child if he/she is lost, not grab his/her hand and speed off...

 

I have a 4 year old daughter which has been learning about strangers! I just showed her this clip about 5 times and told her that man is a stranger! The hardest thing to teach them is that nasty strangers look just like normal people. :bad:

I work in retail security. If we have to go anywhere near a child then we have cameras following every move. Or 2 of us will go to them.

Same here work in security if we do anything two of us go , we even have to wear cctv cams

She's 26 now, but when my daughter was a little girl, I was giving her the talk about how "You mustn't talk to strangers". Without missing a beat, she looked up and said "But I don't know any strangers, Dad !" :doh:
