Using A Drowning Cable...

Recommended Posts

What happens if you change drowning cable for anchor cable ?.

And theres only one organization that would maybe perform a Pm on any dead animal the R.S.P.C.A. the way they flung money about trying to get a prosecution against the hunts proves it .

Its no all about how quickly the animal is dispatched as placing stoppers on snares so they now hold the rabbit , fox till the trapper checks them and dispatches the catch proves

These laws will always be a grey area and as long as we try to work with in them will be deemed okay till a organization takes out a test case

Thing is this is when somebody will spot a trap when theres a catch in it and possibly steal it with enough cable on it to reach water its out of sight to these two legged vermin

As a total aside, I did an insect job for a sitting Magistrate recently and she asked me about squirrels. Turned out she hated the bloody things and had bought herself a live catch trap that was more or less permanently set up in the garden. When I asked her what she did with them once inside she told me she drowned them in a bucket. I told her that was illegal and she informed me that the Police had told her to do it that way...

On a mink trapping course run by DEFRA several years ago linked to a job I had at the time ,we were using rafts made from celotex an insulation used in the building trade and covered in reeds .The trap used was a fenn mk 6 attached to a wire long enough to fall off the raft to keep catches from public view .This happened in 70 % of catches I would say as the mk 6 is notorious for legging it appears.Never was it pointed out about any law to the contrary but I'm aware that things might have moved on now regarding law .Good luck in your quest to stay law side JD.Also just to say if mink snaring there is no legal length of wire to use and the animal invariably drowns !
