That cz sounds a good deal mate.

From what I have heard and seen, savage make very accurate rifles and very nice factory triggers too

and to think i nearly had my mind made up lol

I've got a CZ 452 in hmr and it's a nice action and accurate. Fitted a trigger kit and the trigger is nice and crisp and light now. I used to clean it after every outing, but I don't bother now unless the accuracy isn't spot on. I save a few beer bottle tops, and if I can't easily plink them at 100 yards I'll give it a proper clean. Not very technical but it works for me. I'd recommend the CZ.

So..... I've just got back from the gun shop and had a look at both the guns, and it didn't take me long to make my mind up, as soon as I picked up the savage I went right off it, the feel was Micky mouse the weight didn't feel right, overall not very good. So picked up the cz, wow what a fantastic little gun the wood stock felt great and feels like it would last more then a week compared to the savage the weight and general feel of the gun is much better then the savage. I couldn't resist but put a deposit on it and picking it up possibly in the morning or on Monday.

One happy chappy :)

Well my certificate finally arrived yesterday and I couldn't wait to pick my cz up and use it. Spent the afternoon getting used to the beauty and zeroing it in at 100yrds, and bagged myself a rabbit too. Can't wait to go out properly with it now.

Couldn't agree more guys..got my cz455 17hmr with thumbhole about 2 yrs ago and I'm really impressed with the quality and accuracy, and when I need a bit more silence and a quicker follow up I use my Brno 581have both have proven to be the right tool for the job on many different occasions.
