Good Morning Out With The .22 And Shotgun

Had land checked on a new permission this week so was up about this morning equipped with the Anchutz for a bit of rabbit action, when I pulled up the owner greeted me on his driveway and after a little chat I got straight to it, walked about 15yards and was presented by my first rabbit sat in middle of the field, pulled trigger and watched it drop..... Went back to car 2 minutes later to save carrying it about and owner said bloody hell your not messing about, haha how lucky was that now I look like a real pro

 

Anyway I walked permission getting another 3 rabbits, one was behind a tree with head looking out, hit it with a clean head shot, watching it through scope thinking wow that's not moving, went to collect and it was bloody gone, I then spotted back legs poking out of nr by hole.

 

 

Anyway after a good hour, I thought I'd nip home and test the new shotgun out, arrived at land and set a few crow decoys up with rabbit cut open, but after 1hr sat in a bush I decided to walk to field, had my first shot which was a bolting rabbit and missed the bloody thing, then due to shotgun going off a pigeon flew out of tree approx. 10yards in front of me, I took the shot and wow it blew it to bloody bits mid-air.

 

I'm still buzzing now, can't wait to get out again with the shotgun, but for today the wife put a stop to my fun demanding I return for sunday roast...how selfish
