No one can say a pit would could kill a hb some prob would, others prob wouldnt whats certain is no game dog would have a long career hunting them as they are tough sobs for sure.one thing that gets my goat is the notion pits are the be all and end all when it comes to gameness, imo nothing can touch your bog standard diggin terrier that meets its much larger foe in its own backyard.

Not a bull breed man myself but i have wondered in the past if (and i know there bred for different tasks)a pit bull or other bully type would still go to his work with such vigour if he did have to enter the dark, dig through a ever narrowing tube and then like you say meet a larger stronger foe in the foes back yard?.I have to say maybe not and i agree a working terrier's job is one of the hardest in the canine world.

As for honey badger,v's whatever, feck me it's only just may and it's going to be a long old summer if were here allready :laugh:

Its like asking a Jack Russell to show gameness in a dog fight.....it would never happen.......a competition bulldog is bred to fight one of his own,ive seen bulldogs that would take their death in a fight back down from a cat scratching its face..........this is the problem when people compare gamness within different animals they lump it all together like its one single trait that covers every dog in the world.

Because gnasher has to be king kong

Hilarious......you 3 South hams Clippy and Baw remind of 3 little schoolboys sitting at the front of the class where everyone can see them throwing insults trying to get a reaction from the big burly teacher and thinking they are on the front foot................... from the safety of their school desks !......Little pricks.... put your conkers away and go and pick on someone your own size ;)

you really are the biggest hypocrite on here gnash...........

Is that so.......well nobody apart from you and your 2 little friends really give a shit about me so instead of showing out to each other by having these verbal tussles with " King Kong " that have nothing to do with a subject being discussed just pm me next time save everyone else having to see it.......or is that part of the ploy ;)

Must admit, you do come across as the kid in class who ain't all that popular so tries to make up for it by trying to draw as much attention to himself by doing and saying silly things to get a reaction.. Not saying that you're like that in real life, just the impression I get from the virtual persona that you give off..

Thats the explannation i was looking for........just not as good with words ............anyway its not all the kids fault im just as daft i find these verbal spars with the 3 ankle biters similar to having an arm wrestle with my 7 year old nephew....you got to keep their interest up or they,ll think of themself as a failure :D

I don't get your anolagy Gnash; I've seen Jack Russells with enough gameness to tackle anything, including Pit Bulls, yes they were a liability and usually came of worse, but they could never be accused of lacking gameness.

I think it's quite difficult to judge how much of a fighter certain types of wild animals are.

Ok you look on you tube and see honey badger chasin a lion so it's f****n nail lol

I lion ain't stupid what's the point in trying to tackle a vicious little b*****d when the plains are full of baby antelope ready for the picking?

Plus 90% of predators won't fight till death. They will square up have scuff, then loser gets to f**k of its patch.

Totally agree......gameness would be the absolute worst trait a wild animal could possibly possess........far as im aware only 3 animals in the world have a natural gameness thats the Pit Bull,Rooster and Dove ( yes the symbol of peace )...........wild animals if you leave the gate open they will run away for self preservation..........which is the exact 100% opposite to the meaning of gameness.

What do you class as " tackle " ?.........Ive never known or heard of a Jack Russell used in the sport of dog fighting, why not if they are such " match game " animals ?.....or why has that gameness not been utilised into bulldogs breeding wise ?............." tackling " cant be compared to conditioned athletic competition mate.

Is that true about doves gnasher? If so I never knew that, but them pouter pigeons will fight to death, seen it myself a few times

Im told 2 male doves will fight to the death in flight to determine the best and most dominant breeding male..............while that still cant be compared to the Pit Bull who will do that just for fun.......its still pretty impressive if your an admirer of the trait of gameness.
