tsteve9999 456
A terrier will struggle to catch many healthy fit rabbits, but it's great fun to watch them try. I've always thought the ground being a bit wet was an advantage to a dog but may be wrong, and no she's not too old, in fact if she's been taught some basic commands over the last few months it may be an advantage and make her more biddable. 1 Quote Link to post
ruggers13 268
Ive been recalling her which she isn't too bad sometimes she does run off and doesn't listen when she's seen a rabbit ill tell her to find them and she's in n out of the bushes she's chased the rabbits to there warrens too just hope im doing right thanks for your comments Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
When she chases a Rabbit what does she do, does she stay at the bury and mark, if putting a rabbit in a bury mine will give a a bit of a scratch, When the ferreting season starts take the dog with you, he will watch you netting up, i take it she is stock proof to Sheep, cattle and of course ferrets, when you connect with a rabbit, keep her with you, you can hold her collar, she will hear the rumbling, and see the rabbits hitting the nets, after a few times, the penny should drop, and you should end up with a useful ferreting companion. 2 Quote Link to post
