Arguing amongst ourselves is plain fecking stupid...............Did we not march for OUR hunting rights regardless of method Care to explain what a gun has got to do with hunting with dogs? End of the day the rifle/gun men are doing alot more damage to my sport than any one else, it's anything with eyes is getting hit on the land. Maybe ''Ban all guns i say.. and the sooner the better'' was a stupid remark, but lads out shooting quarry i can hunt with the dogs If more and more lads do get rifles and it keeps going the way its going they're will be feck all quarry to talk about hunting with the dogs. But sure in a couple of years when the whole thing is fecked i'll be able to thank the rifle men and have a few pints with them. Talk about what we used to do with the dogs sure. Wise up. Guest JohnGalway
Care to explain what a gun has got to do with hunting with dogs? Care to explain where it says this thread is exclusively about dogs? In General Talk, under Rifle Men, sorry, please join the dots for me.... End of the day the rifle/gun men are doing alot more damage to my sport than any one else, it's anything with eyes is getting hit on the land. Maybe ''Ban all guns i say.. and the sooner the better'' was a stupid remark, but lads out shooting quarry i can hunt with the dogs It's all ME ME ME with you innit I'm fairly sure the last fox shot in the area local to you didn't have your name on it In plain english, you're being as selfish as the people you're giving out about and only stirring things up. conor 7
lads i wasnt saying foxes shouldn't be shot on the lamp just that a little common sense should prevail. no use shooting fox after fox after fox after fox. conor when i see all them foxes hanging on the gate i just think what a waste of some good hunting. maybe foxes are plentyfull round your way but on in some places i hunt and lamp they're like hens teeth. no dog would have taken them foxes on the night well maybe one. suppose people have different views if they have sheep with lambs at foot or not, personally id rather see ten dead foxes hanging on a gate rather than 30 or 40 of dads lambs dead. dEs you are a wanker blinded by your own stupidness

Des, thanks for enlightening me, I will indeed wise up I'll explain whats guns have got to do with hunting with dogs...........dogs kill animals, guns kills animals, antis don't like dead animals. It doesn't take Albert Einstein to figure out that along the line shooting will be targeted. Maybe i'm deluded but I very, very rarely fish but If a piece of legislation was taken to parliment to ban fishing and the organisations that protect the sport organised a march would you go? I would, why? because its a fieldsport I think we should keep and is worth fighting for. All the internalisation of picking on one sport must have our opponents pissing themselves laughing. For the record I do have a shotgun and air rifle, mainly for pigeons but I much prefer to see a dog work. Although I have occasionally shot foxes when required I would sooner see them hunted by hounds, terriers or lurchers (where legal) Each area of our sport be it lurchers, terriers, shooters, anglers, ferreters or what ever has its share of arseholes, as does any other sport totally unrelated to hunting. Its time we stopped all the whinging and moaning and tried to support each other.............
Simoman 110
Exactly lucky, take them using whatever method you prefer but don't slate one mans methods..is that not called prejudice? Think thats why were in the position we are in now..
Guest Macnas
I'd like to row in with that. Just because wankers running dogs over lands they have no business being on annoys me, and just because others effectively help the anti's with devisive statements, I will stand foursquare with any dogmen in suppport of their sport. If some of you can remember, once apon a time the british NRA in Bisely were asked about pistols, just before they were banned. The dusty old blazer wearing rifle shooters gave pistols the thumbs down, and so helped legitimise the handgun ban. Someone is always looking for a chink in our armour, a weakness in our defences. Don't open the fecking gate for them.
