shropshire dan 467
Hi all in need of some advice, had a call of mate today as he has a very bad squirrel problem in his attic they have chewed through phone and internet wires so far. As i arrived today their was a young squirrel trapped under the bath and badly wedged between the boards. I tryed to get it out for dispatch but was wedged in quite bad. I then dispatched it with a low powered pistol. Ive told him to bait the squirrels out in the open of the garden for a week where i can get a clear shot with the air rifle. The problem is their next door neighbour is very anti and feeds the squirrels. He has asked permission to access her garden to use traps and air rifle but she went mad at the proposal. Where do i stand as know doubt she will call the police once she realises im shooting the problem squirrels in his garden.I'm certainly not going to be shooting outside of the boundaries and the property is owned not rented.Any help appreciated
Chid 6,610
As long as your pellet don't leave his boundary your ok
shropshire dan 467
I was pretty sure that was the case but was a little worried as the neighbour is practically guaranteed to call the police
The one 8,511
I wouldn't even bother shooting them , I would trap them and nobody would know and even if they do some how find out its no illegal
shropshire dan 467
They have pet cats though. Should have mentioned that
redial 81
I would leave well alone could be alot of hassle if using rifle with a anti next door. Try other methods, hope your mate gets it sorted.
Lab 10,979
They have pet cats though. Should have mentioned that Well shoot the ones with the big teeth and curly tails then and you'll be fine.
moxy 617
They have pet cats though. Should have mentioned that Your trapping squirrels not cats. Use a cage trap like an elgeco and mount it on a fence. With the right bait the squirrels will find it in no time.

oakey 57
You could always try phoning the police first and let them know what you intend to do but dont let it sound that you are asking permission just informing them on what you are going to do
