captain2010 2,806
300 yards down my way the long ear Is well gone, differant story up the country like Dublin Kildare dog has time enough to get settle in on them on most of the fields up there, those 2 bitchs edmond and nailey b p birch have no bother running over the water I think nailey b p matched a few lads over there and done very well, Quote Link to post
captain2010 2,806
60 yards down my way if I am being honest lol,I think a lot of the lurchers in Ireland these days are being bred to slow, but that's just my opinion on it.i do run tight land full of obasctiles and wire 4 Quote Link to post

brendy mc l 694
if the fields 60 yards long dogs on to it turns it 10 times or more that 60 yards then becomes 100 or more yards then the next field same thing again the yards dont belong adding up the thing is when a dog runs here in ire he more and less runing a full speed the full run were as in eng hare pulls dog nos hes time to get bk to it and can run with in him self saveing engery seen plenty of long runs in ire 3s 4 min race good hares that could run on fens easy if had time to learn the land Quote Link to post
captain2010 2,806
I said if the dog is not quick enough Geoff he be straight lined as some long ears in these tight land are very tricky and can motor on last thing you need is a follower on this type of land.now Geoff not arguing fen land I can't really say as most lads know I was never over in England hunting they all telling me go over prob hoping me dogs fail or some shite like that, put you put those top fen dogs down were I hunt in tight little fields wire gates hedges every obactiles long ear can bring them how you think those top fen dogs would do ????? 1 Quote Link to post
