From the Highlands down to the Border Country onto the East Coast of Northumberland Down the West Coast into the Lake District Weardale' East Yorkshire' the Peak District' East Anglia and the Fens' Hampshire ' Sussex ' Dorset Devon' Cornwall' Wales Even London has its pluses and not forgetting Co Durham Yeah I have got to agree no matter what part of the country you are in. STRANGER 948
Muirkirk is one of the bleakest shiteholes in the UK. Rains 24/7, nothing for miles around, no work, rife with drugs. the list goes on. Even folks dogs are on anti-depressants.
NEWKID 27,159
Spent 4 weeks travelling around Scotland, roughing it in the back of my dads work transit van. Done the same around Ireland.. I loves it up there, fished most nights off the shore or on one if the lochs, caught a load of mackerel somewhere near Ullapool, was gutting the on the harbour and feeding a seal the guts off the wall, had a crowd of Germans watching in the end lol. Fished Stranraer was good, got bit to f**k by midges fishing the lochs lol.. I'll be taking the kids on a similar jaunt in the next couple of years, I might get a few moans off the girls but fin will love it...

RossM 8,119
Got to say I love Callander loch earn Tay area. Got some fond memories . Remember getting steaming drunk up at killearn. Hadn't caught a thing. 3 in the morning jumping the fence into the fishery, Tipped a bag of feed in this tank. Couldn't see a thing through the dark and the drink lol HeRd all the splashing , plunged in a landing net. Swear I could hardly lift it out. These f*****g things were huge. Filled a few bin bags and back over the fence. In the morning I realised we had left some bin bags in the place , in those days the council logo was on the bags. Didn't need Colombo to know where to look lol Funny you mention loch earn, similar story, a borrowed boat borrowed oars and the fishery were involved here too......
