Wullz 408 Posted May 2, 2014 Report Share Posted May 2, 2014 North of Torridon, Summer Isles, cracking spot.......so many beaches you cant name them all.....if we had the weather the place would be crammed.I prefer it the way it is!Black Isle and Cromarty Firth are worth seeing too, but dont go beyond Nairn on the Moray coast, its booooring! And as you get nearer furryboots city it gets worse and worse.....Lossiemouth has one of the best beaches around.nice beach ay lossimouth have you seen the beaches at durness Don't think so mate. I just use the beach for the dogs mostly mate. Macnaharish beach is a belter. I use to spend a month up there every year. 2 weeks twice a year on exersise proper shite. always in spring and autum and the weather was brutal. The beaches are out this world. white pure sand nice. It would be brilliant if the weather was nicer. Always tempted to try it in the summer for few days see what its like Were you based at the fort? Pity it's always 3 below We stayed at Arisaig which is about nine miles from Malaig. We used to take the four kids on some of the beaches you're talking about and have them to ourselves all day. Kids just went feral for a fortnight. Absolutely stunning place. Saw loads of salmon waiting in a pool to go up a very short river , think it was called river morar if I remember correctly . Use go up Durness for the combined NATO and combined services joint fired ex twice a year. Beautiful beaches. Just really shit weather. Sailed over to Arran , and camped on the tops near goat fell , then upto glencoe and camped in the hanging valley , upto fort William and did a few peaks round there, then onto Oban and mull , beautiful! The two in the village are located in the Heritage Layby, on the A70 at the western end of the village, and at the entrance to Garronhill, just off the A70 towards the eastern end of the village. The Totem Poles are adorned with sculptured representations of birds of prey which can be seen in the locality of Muirkirk and Glenbuck. Each Totem pole also carries carvings depicting significant influences which have shaped Muirkirk both historically and in the modern day.
