wezza 396
My bull x approx 1/4 bull in his make up, he will be 2 in July so a 1st proper season for him. I personally rate the 1/4 bull x's, fast, agile and have plenty of drive, strength and determination. Easy to muscle up and get fit although mine are kept fit all year round. With a bit of saluki, collie, whippet in the mix you have potentially got a decent all rounder There is saluki whippet bull grey in his make up. Who else runs 1/4 bull blood in there dogs, lets see some pics 9 Quote Link to post

roybo 2,873
I think it depends what you want a bull cross for ,whether you need anything else other than greyhound, If just a mooching dog then maybe don't need the bull in there in the first place, but bull blood in my opinion Adds a lot more than muscle, gameness Is one thing that you may want bull blood for. 1 Quote Link to post

roybo 2,873
A good 1/2 cross is an awesome dog for a job,and yes they can run, there are fast ones about, But even heavy ones have there place, some wouldn't want anything else in there,,but a little bull blood goes a long way so a little in a lurcher give that little something Quote Link to post

wezza 396
Obviously the main reason we add the bull blood is for the gameness, that is a certainty and the main trait we strive for in our bull lurchers. I've seen racey half crosses that can run and catch as well as 3/4 grey 1/4 bulls do what you would expect of a half cross. As long as the breedings right your on to a winner with decent blood. I just like how a 1/4 bull throws a racier type of dog that can catch and dispatch. 2 Quote Link to post
