dytkos 17,784
Had a quick peek in my nest box this morning for the first time, about 7 or 8 blue tits eggs in there but I haven't seen a bird go in for days They haven't been disturbed by anything or anyone so I'm thinking maybe a predator of some kind has had the mother? Cheers, D.

Cheers, D. Since then, I've seen one blue tit come out of the box. If one bird has died etc, would the other still try to hatch the eggs? Anybody any knowledge please? Cheers, D. fireman 10,869
The hen will but doub't the cock will sit that long on them and do the mum bit when they hatch, but you might be seeing the cock flying in feeding the hen who is sitting on the eggs and you missed her going back in .
