dymented 2,220
I admire your determination more than words can say. You have nerves and a will of steel. I think I'd have been locked up by now after seeing the torture inflicted on my dogs had I been in your situation. Thankfully you had support and good advice, but you still had to suffer needlessly for too long, not to mention the suffering of your dogs. I do hope they recover mentally strong and that the experience hasn't ruined them. There is a huge difference in them mentally the two lurcher's who have been together here ever since they were babies just seem to want to fight each other they never ever showed any aggression ever towards anything while we had them , The bull dogs lost her voice and makes the most horrendous noise while walking as if shes chocking and the jagd constantly runs round in tiny circles Not one dog had a problem before they were taken Most of the problems will stem from the fact they have been locked in tiny kennels for 15 months with No companionship or human interaction due to the negligence and cruelty inflicted on them by the rspca

secretagentmole 1,701
You know of course that now you need a full report on your dog's mental and physical health. This will be in the hands of your solicitor. You will nail these b*****ds to the wall and keep hammering!
skycat 6,173
Can you get them checked over by a sympathetic vet who would be prepared to offer his or her expert opinion if needed to. Also, a really good qualified and experienced dog behaviourist, such as Jim Greenwood, who specialises in lurcher rehabilitation. More ammunition as to how your dogs have suffered in the hands of the RSPCA would maybe help. Jim could also suggest the best things you can do to help your dogs regain their mental balance and confidence.

beast 1,884
Did you get film of these dogs when they were released? And also a behaviouralist or vet to comment on their physical and mental condition. Don't worry too much about the mental state of the dogs, I have handled a lot of troubled dogs and you may be surprised at how good a recovery they will make. The most important thing is that you try to forget about heir ordeal, and if you can move on so will they. So many problem dogs remain that way because the owners won't let them, the owners seem to think hat ogs dwell on things the same wAy people do when in fact dogs live in the NOW not the PAST. Anyway, I am overjoyed for you, best news I ave heard for weeks

desertbred 5,490
The RSPCA deserve all the bad publicity that they can get. They are an instrument of repression for the LACS and anti brigade ,The RSPCA obtain funds under false pretences from unsuspecting members of the public who if true publicity were presented regarding their activities was placed in the media financial and political support for these uniformed charletons would disappear over night.

NEWKID 27,160
Great news on the return of your dogs mate, But a real shame to hear how they have been returned to you.. As others have said, I really hope that in time they'll come round and start enjoying life again.. Very good point from beast about dogs living in the now rather than the past, I won't pretend to know much about dog psychology but I geniuinely hope that's a fact and they come round as soon as. Keep at em mate, hopefully the worst is behind you now
