hows it all going with funding etc this is going to be a long battle and a lot more money needed i would have thought.

that's probably what the b*****ds are hoping for, and they rely on to win most of their cases, the fact that they can outspend pretty much everyone to force them to back down, the worst part of it is IF they lose its normally paid for out of the public purse, this stalling and piling up of expenses needs to be put in front of a judge to try to force them to pull their (very well funded) fingers out, maybe by trying the tack that they are trying to buy justice

Unfortunately it's not only the general public who voluntarily donate to the RSPCA, some companies are gullible enough to sponsor them as well.

The Pets At Home stores have them as one of the options when you swipe the VIP card, I opted for Dogs Trust, and explained what I thought of the RSPCA, and told them to visit and read Dymented's facebook page "RSPCA Did This".

Also, Mason Cash the ceramics company who make quality kitchenware (like the big brown mixing bowl granny used to use) and who also make a range of excellent quality ceramic dogs bowls, well inside each of those dog bowls is a sticker stating that they sponsor the RSPCA. I really need to buy one as my dog currently has a plastic one which he noses all around the kitchen, but because of the RSPCA sponsorship I chose not to. I asked the Pets At Home staff if they sold any other ceramic bowls and they said no, and that I should try a local pet shop. This I did and guess what, they were selling the same bowls with the same sponsorship stickers on.

Saturday week I was walking my pup, turned a corner and across the road was an RSPCA van parked. The RSPCA bloke was walking towards the rear of the van and when he saw my pup he said "Can I come over and say hello to him?" My reply was instantaneous "No you can't, f*ck off, I've got no time for you people". He was taken aback and after a few seconds replied "OK, nice meeting you", so I said "Shame I can't say the same".

In the split second it took for my initial reply I thought 'this b*stard wants to check over my dog surreptitiously'.

I noticed on a webpage regarding them taking and putting to sleep that 20 year old pig the other week, that their donations are down seven million pounds on the previous year, it seems people are waking up to what they stand for... long may it continue.

I noticed they are now referred to as an animal rights organisation. and that is what they fight for. They are not, they are there for the welfare of animals. Not driving political process. If they want to survive, they should get back to core values and basics. What they loose in persecution costs, they will gain back in goodwill, and donations

Once you have your result on this Dy have you managed to line up any mainstream press coverage of the case. Or do you think the outcome will come with a gagging clause?

Thats been sorted already bud had a good interview with a main stream national paper

Nice one! Hopefully the bad publicity will hit them hard! Edited by Slippery_Weasel

My thoughts exactly Desert, why is this not being pushed through due to the fact that other dogs are in their "care" and more likely than not suffering serious psychological and emotional harm from being removed from what they know as home??
