roybo 2,873
Only thing I'd add,to that is ,while young try and keep away from lads with unruly dogs,or hyperactive loons can be hard to keep there attention on you, well behaved obedient dogs will inadvertently help with recall ,in fact I still use my lurcher to bring my terrier back lol 2 Quote Link to post

Bo Duke 420
I always run a chase dog, a catch dog and a kill dog so when it comes to entering I use a captain (which is the same as a pilot only better) for each job so sometimes I can be running six Bullcrosses on a rabbit. It's pretty sweet, I rock 11 Quote Link to post

Bosun11 537
Funny old thred this one but to answer what I think maybe the question, NO, never have, wanted, or felt the need, to use another dog in bringing a pup on, don't want or need my pups to watch, run with, or any fecking thing with any other dog, I just see it as more of a hindrance than a help. If the dogs ready, the dogs ready and if it ain't I simply wait till it is and if you know your pup, you know when its ready. There was one quarry that I did give a first timer a go with another dog for the first few times, foxes but that was pre-ban and as soon as a youngster showed me what it could do on them I would be itching to try it single, cause it wernt no fox dog till it could kill 'em single.
