I have never used one , but I would think that is worth thinking about , I would if I was getting a new range finder .I have a HAWKE OPTICS Endurance LFR 600 it seems to work ok ,but the cover that holds the battery in is very loose and I have to use a piece of electric tape to lock the cover so I dont loose it .
