nans pat 2,575
Their is land, in the west of ireland ( not far from roscommon town) that holds a lot of hares, these hares get ran regular, they are very hard to get with a dog, unless your dog is very good, seen a few dogs last season that were meant to be very good, missing these hares..!..all dogs miss in my opinion, weather its lamping or coursing. What sort off land is it????? Big grass fields, their is however, stone walls, hedges, electric fences separating them, but for the west, its as good as it gets, plenty of chances for a good dog to run, box and catch a hare, but these hares are strong from what i seen. We were on a spot at the bottom end of lough ree plenty about it good enough land. But its a cnut of a drive LOL. Quote Link to post
banner man 587
how come you allway here about all they kill and never about all that they miss and same goes for alot of dvd you seethats the way the dog world is gone jimmy its all about hype, you cant believe anything these days and it all comes down to money and egos.. theres no place in the dog world for an honest man.I agree with most of what you say BM. But to come out and say that there is no room for an honest man in the dog game is wrong, or do you just mean the coursing game and do you class yourself as one of these "honest men"? im talking about the coursing game jf, i dont know what goes on in other dog circles such as lamping or digging or whatever but if they are half as bad as a lot of the coursing crew then its all f****d, now as for being honest i try my best to be as straight as i can be but sometimes people see things from diffrent points of view so your not going to please every one all the time. Sounds like some off land some men run up here but it the land that makes the hare hard to catch.Using every opject in its way to get away from as dog.To be honest l hate that sort off land but you have to run where the hares are. iceman001979 1,316
Some off us look at it as a sport and some don't just another hunting day.Surely if you look at it as a sport you want to have the best or have a really good one like any other sport that goes on. Quote Link to post
