countrylad2 2
Hi all just realised my Jill coming into season and I don't have a hob and was just wondering any ways of bringing her out ? Or if anyone around the taunton/somerset area has a vasectomised hob to borrow ? Quote Link to post
resistance 189
Unless you can get a vesectomised hob nature will just take its course Quote Link to post
countrylad2 2
I heard that if a Jill doesn't get brought out of season by a hob she will die is this true ? I'm a bit of a noobie tbh ? Quote Link to post
huntingman13 3
right guys my ferret is pregnant and its a young ferret its about 9 month old is this old enough to breed or will it just reject the kits? Quote Link to post
coneykenny 98
Right lads, firstly your Jill won't die due to not getting her mated.keep her hutch clean( no infections).if you do want to take her out of season ,take her to the vets for the Jill jab(delfostoren).the other young Jill that is preggo isn't ideal mate but it is what it is now . She will be grand .her maternal instincts will kick in during the latter stages of her pregnancy 4 Quote Link to post

Hot Meat 3,109
It's first time I tried it tbh, but I doubt it as the Jill and hob that made the young hob was completely un related but both were real good workers, so is the young hob so I'm trying to lock that in. Time will tell lol Quote Link to post
coneykenny 98
Its close alrite meat,it happened to me accidentally a while back, have to say ,they were great workers and never had bother, but tbh I would've preferred a bit more distant relative .ie.mother to grandson maybe.but yeah if you have great workers, then keep it in the family!me thinks 1 Quote Link to post
Hot Meat 3,109
I'm using same stud over a mates unrelated Jill so I'll get some of that blood to add at some point, and there's another Jill that's sister to stud with a mate that's a great worker so I'll use her at some point, I'm sure I'll get summat but you never know lol Quote Link to post
