socks 32,253
I see that fukcwit Chris packham is standing on a mountain in Malta to try and stop the annual song bird shoot ..... Now where do you stand on this ??? Do you think he should mind his own fukcing business it's not his country its a tradition that has been going on for hundreds of years ... Or is he right to stop the killing of songbirds that have no monetary gain to this and they are not even for the pot ............
air gun ant 1,666
whatever that prick says, im opposed to it. tradition needs to be fought for, and i respect their right to keep traditions alive regardless of what that knob has to say about it Edited April 22, 2014 by air gun ant

scothunter 12,609
I'm sure there are regulations in place. Personally I don't see why you would. They must taste superb lol Although they c**ts abroad will eat anything. As for chris pack ham apart from his constant smarmy attitude. I don't listen to his or any other of they loonies views. Same old. And it didn't hold any validity when I first heard it. Hmmm wonder what a blackbird tastes like lol Need a pie though
bird 9,876
suppose it comes down to how many they cull, if they got lots of them , then killing few wont hurt. But if the numbers are not that many in the 1st place , then leave them.

Tiercel 6,986
No matter what you think of the man, you have to admit that killing any birds for no other purpose other than you are able too is pretty outdated. I have seen the outcry's when some person takes a hare and for fear of getting caught just dumps the hare in a hedge bottom. Same goes for pigeon shooters who kill a shed load of pigeons and dump them. I suppose when the tradition started there was a purpose behind it, protecting tree buds, etc.If that purpose is still valid then by all means but if there is just no purpose other than killing for killings sake, personally I think it's wrong. I suppose the Iron test would be would you do it yourself? TC Edited April 22, 2014 by tiercel

TC I agree mate thing is, this is a different country with different thoughts on it and tbh I know a couple of lads out there who go shooting, who eat what they've shot and don't go in for the whole killing spree thing but this is hard ingrained in certain people It's more about telling outsiders to fec off with their rules
Tiercel 6,986
I suppose it boils down to your morality, morality is not only personal is also a cultural state of mind, what seems totally taboo in one country is accepted as totally normal in another. As long as you do not try and inflict your morals on any other person, I think it does no harm to have an opinion on other peoples morality, perhaps learn from it as well. Born Hunter 17,763
I know feck all about it but is it any worse than fox hunting for sport? If they get a crack out of it and aren't threatening any populations or natural balances then I can't see how I can oppose it.

The big issue across Europe about this is that they are shooting the birds as they migrate.
