RubyTex 1,957
Good opportunity but taking out an accommodation fee from NMW? If it's a young lad, they'll probably be on about £3.50 an hour anyway!!

Brigzy 1,298
Why the f**k do you think young people would rather be on the dole than take jobs like this Minimum wage, LESS rent to live in a brocken down old caravan or disused chicken shed ! Yeah, peasants from some backward east European country will come and take these jobs, as it's better by far than they will get in their own shithole countries,.... What the f**k has our country come too ??

greenman 221
It's not who you are thinking of Perthshire keeper. I worked for the chap for just over a year during my chequered foray into game keeping. He is a nice bloke, hard and fair. His rearing is spot on and his work ethic takes some keeping up with, but as I said before, the harder you work the more you will learn. I'm not a keeper, tried it but couldn't grin and bear the cap doffing and snivelling. A couple of my best mates are now head keepers, I've seen how hard they worked and what they put up with. If that's the job you want 4 months in a caravan on minimum wage will be a walk in the park, if it's not, your probably not cut out for the game keeping.

Work the lads to their limits to test their character almost, see if they've got it in them to keep going despite being absolutely f****d. I don't think it's good practice but them birds need looking after... You have to want to be a gamekeeper and not be motivated by money (for the first few years at least)
