Bigpat 25
This is my Clumber Stanley, he's green as hes new to the hunting game at 9 months old, hes been taken round the clay pigeons & used to the reports, I do some rough shooting & wanted him to work the cover & be a hunter but is reluctant, can anyone offer any advise or offer to give us some experience anywhere in the Yorkshire area - breakfast on me! Best wishes Pat. Quote Link to post
stroller 341
He is just a baby mate they are extremely slow at growing up I would just keep his training going and let him start hunting slowly. After all they are a spaniel and can be stubborn b*****ds. At nine months he has a lot of growing g to do I really wouldn't push him into anything or you will ruin him . 1 Quote Link to post
Archi 46
You are best of joining the working clumber spaniel society, google search will give you the site address About £8 year They run training sessions and members offer help and advice there are some committee members up your way who no doubt would be willing to help you I have a clumber and they can be a bit slow on the uptake, might just need a bit of ground with plenty of scent on of use of a rabbit pen and trainer They are good hunters but can be a bit stubborn (well mine is) Good luck 1 Quote Link to post
