gnasher16 30,281
Being as though im pugged up indoors for a while i thought id try and get into the snooker so had a bit of a wild punt on that Chinky kid Ding jun Hui for the championship at 8/1............is there anyone who knows a thing or two about snooker who can give me some reassurance that i havent done my money ...............whos your money on snooker bods ? I think its a terrible bet tbh gnash. He just dosen't seem to like playing at the Crucible. Oh well you win some you lose some eh ....slitty eyed little c**t ! Bit of a twitchy f****r he never looked comfortable..... obviously a brilliant player i guess some folk just aint suited to the biggest stage. They say he'll be another Jimmy White "the best player to never win a World Championship" Its the session play that a lot can't seem to handle, Ding always excels in the shorter format but can't seem to click in these longer format tournaments. Seemed a bit odd coming back for the last 3 frames i couldnt work that out it seemed to break Dings momentum......and of course it was eventually won on a fluke.......but still he should be putting players like that away if form is anything to go by......apparently !.........Selby looked to struggle as well. Its what makes the Worlds unique that they play a game over multiple sessions and over 2 days, I suppose the mentally tough players will always fair better in this situation. Selby is renowned for grinding results out, the amount of matches he wins on the deciding frame beggars belief at times. Those type of players are more often than not at the sharp end of the big ones.

In fairness, he was unlucky to lose to a fluke, but he should have finished the little lad off long before it got to that stage.World number 2 vs number 75 should only ever end one way....................... It goes to show hiw the new format in snooker has bridged the gap from the top 16 and the rest

clipo 871
that was amazing yet again by ronnie!!!!! i dont know why but theres no other sportsman i can watch so intensely as him!! he just continues to amaze everyone, even the commentators who have been pros themselves say every year they have never seen anyone play like him.......i love seeing a quality goal in football, a knock out in boxing, a hole in one in golf etc etc but nothing will beat watching ronnie play like that for me........absolutely top drawer....... Malt 379
When he finds his groove he don't come out of it. The best hope that an opponent can have is that he goes through the match without finding it because once he's in it don't matter how many frames behind he is. Can anybody else remember that final between him and Ebdon years ago? Ebdon ground every bloody frame out and disrupted O'Sulivan's game, ended up winning the match. Worst snooker final I've ever sat and watched, kind of lost interest in the game after that. I used to watch every comp from beginning to end, I just tend to catch a few frames now and again these days..
