i had 3 phone calls during the week to go sort out the goats, they were very brazen it seems and wandered into a farm yard and helped themselves to some feed for the calves/cows.then to rub the farmers

AGA i couldnt have it on my conscience to shoot something and not use it.It would be a terrible sin to just dump an animal.......any animal that could be processed and eaten either by dogs or hunter.I

believe me im not even a close third to barry crump(got to look him up)my efforts are farcical compared to others ,but i have fun, which is what its all about.

thanks pat666,the moocher the goats are completely ferral, hated by all that work the land in that region.the keeper was right, they are stinking, the nanny and kids arent too bad except for the ticks, the problem with the seat belt situation is if you got more than 1,i hand pulled the 2 sunday with the gun around my back on a sling.hard feckin work.

sussex,I butcher them immediately this time of year as the temperature is high and the flies are starting to show up so straight into the freezer. In the winter if its real cold i leave them hanging as long as I can, usually a week or 10 days.

Very good thread, you should be writing for a magazine or something, some people are paying up to £300 to shoot goats in the UK, that's what I love about Ireland it's still mostly free hunting,

Love to mince my goats noting like curried goat,

your right there is nothing like curried goat :bad: ....unless you like eating shit, i dont think the magazines have gone that low and desperate for my kind of intimate detail,lol.......theres not enough shooting here for running a sporting weekend for folk, they'd be all but wiped out in no time if pressure was put on them goats like that.

they got 2 nany goats across the road where I go to with the dogs, both Buck+Bryn great with sheep, but these feckin goats I have to be real careful with Buck, from the back with white arses they look like fallow . I have to keep hold of him until I walk past them, its bloody night mare as he pull you over easy
