Bloody hell mate, with that much land you could apply for a tank :11:

Just call your local fireams licencing office and they will advise you, pop in to the local nick and they will give you the number.

Its SSSOOOO easy...if youve got the permision then you have a good reason to own a rifle....contact your local firearms police and ask for application form. Fill it in and send it off...will take 8-12 weeks depending...in thr mean time get a good quality safe fitted to an internal wall with a seperate compartment for the bolt/ammo....make sure windows and general security is bang on....four or five days after your inspection you should have it.... :yahoo:

Here,s a tip, if you think you will need any other guns/calibre,s , put them on now, otherwise, it will cost you £26 everytime you ask for another. With that amount of land, it would not be unreasonable to ask for a .22 rimfire, for rabbits, and something like a 22-250 for fox, or a 243, for fox/deer, but you must have deer on the land to ask for the last calibre.

I would never admit to shooting a fox with a 22, its VERY naughty I am told, yet you can use a .17 :search:

In my humble opinion the .17 is very good but has a right crack to it, if you want silence get a rimmy and a good moderator (must also be on ticket) and you will be OK.

With a rimmy you can use sub sonic or high power supersonic ammo, (Its Noisey)such as CCI Mini mag or stinger, I keep a mag of each when I am out.

A very flexible system of vermin control,

Good Luck,

Sick
