the fezz 44
dont take this the wrong way mate , but only waiting 10 -15 mins for a ferret thats only been out a few times is in my eyes not long enough , give the ferret time mate , she\he will soon get the hang of moving the bunnys for you . ive ferreted for over 15years and only had i think 3 or 4 digs and that was probably my own fault as i was young at the time and made to much noise , have patience it will be worth it in the long run Quote Link to post

Hywel 53
Some cracking scenery there Dicky As for the digging, FACT it is an essential part of ferreting.... Quote Link to post

FUBAR 0
Super looking spot up there. Good Luck with the Mk3 Quote Link to post
stubby 175
lets not get into a debate on times, but even 20 mins is short, ive waited longer for a bus, if no rabbits bolt or are heard then maybe locate it after 30 mins, but i still wouldent dig for at least 45 minutes Quote Link to post
the fezz 44
dont take this the wrong way mate , but only waiting 10 -15 mins for a ferret thats only been out a few times is in my eyes not long enough , give the ferret time mate , she\he will soon get the hang of moving the bunnys for you . ive ferreted for over 15years and only had i think 3 or 4 digs and that was probably my own fault as i was young at the time and made to much noise , have patience it will be worth it in the long run not being funny but i would say in that 15 years you been ferreting you dont do much ferreting if you only had to dig 3 or 4 times think your one of them who hunts in the pubs and at shows and stufff you like to talk about it but you dont no why you think a ferreter allways has a collor on a ferret or a hob with a collor on coz you get blocks a lot so you dig rabbits out and on really cold days sometimes the rabbits will not move so its dig after dig my point is that it seems that people are to keen to get the nocker box out and start digging . the ferret has only been out a few times give it time to work , yes i now not every one will bolt but why not wait another 15mins or so til the stinker comes out on a frosty morning rabbits will bolt better unless your walking round like some heavy footed half wit , over the 15 years of ferreting ive caught countless rabbits with 3-4 digs (its not all about numbers) answer me this ....... when you go ferreting , do you go for the sport or to keep the farmer happy . i go for the sport and if i dont get every rabbit from every warren that i do that day ..............theres always next time, anyway iam off down the pub to do some hunting il have to watch out for all them holes you have dug( ferrets ) i mite do myself a mischief Quote Link to post
dicky das 4
i surpose you have to wait difrent times on ditrent land and difrent size warrens on this warren bye the time i had found the ferret and broke throw it had killed the rabbit all i was saying is that on the first time of usein my new mk3 i found it difacult thanks for your replys Quote Link to post

Guest little_lloyd
That looks some of the most beutifull countryside ive ever seen I never get how to work the MK 3 locator its a bugger!! Quote Link to post
jonathan 0
shows how much ferreting you done in your 15 years because rabbits do bolt better when its frosty but if it a really cold day and a very hard forst its hard to get them rabbits to bolt and i no my ferrets and if they dont show after about 20 or 30 minutes its time to get the mark 3 witch is well easy to use i cant understand why people have problems with them because a got the mark 1 and the mark 3 and i find the mark 3 better and faster to find the ferret and yes i have dug some very big holes for you to fall in to and i will fill it in after Quote Link to post
Giro 2,648
Feck waiting half an hour for a stinker dig the fecker out and move one how many half hours can you wait in one day not many you wont get much ferreting done... I have some good ground to work on and farmers keepers expect a proper job not half a day and a handful of rabbits... Dont get me wrong sometimes i will go for a dick about take not nets just bolt them for the dogs but i will never be waiting half anhour so me ferret can come off and i waste a rabbit na thats not for me.. good post fella stunning ground you hunt very impressive veiws keep at fella and use the mark one lol Quote Link to post
