the big chief 3,099
I've had both ,3/8 suits me fine, But there is fast 1/2 crosses out there, mine ain't to bad for a 1/2 x but i have always had fast dogs and she ain't no dhxgh so that's why i stuck my beddy whippet GH over her to ad a good bit of pace that's one thing he did have was pace Quote Link to post
bird 9,872
Never seen a 3/4 i'd take home..... 5/8ths, on paper, should be the bollox BUT.... So for me, the half cross, is and always will be, the daddy.... (mind which half cross you get though!) yeh like anything there good and bad in any x, but get 1x pit x grey or good staff x grey there the tops .The best ive ever seen was Tug 1x staff x grey 26in black/brindle dog strong as fook , few lads on here seen him go, anything with teeth didn't last long, he was still doing the business at 10 years old, it was seeing him work that put me on to bullxs in the 1st place. some bullxs are quite fast catch rabbits no prob, there not all big lumps,i suppose if you wanted one with pace+gears a bullx grey x saluki grey seem very popular for that job, but if you want keep just power+guts for what they were really bred for a 1x from good proven dogs all the way Quote Link to post

Although alot depends on the quarry you are hunting/running. Yup there'll be exceptions to the rule but personal preference is just that..personal. 3 Quote Link to post
